Rebranding TasmaniaPosted by: Web Design HobartIf you’ve read The Mercury or followed us on Twitter, you would be aware that a crew of expat designers are willing to improve the Tasmanian brand. Good on you guys for actually making the effort and doing something about it!Firstly, they have identified a problem that exists and secondly, they are willing to do something to improve the public image of Tasmania. As a Hobart based designer myself, I think this is exactly what needs to happen. The bottom line here is that the brand can be viewed negatively by potential interstate visitors. An instantly recognisable and positive logo will entice more visitors to our state. In the long run, an intelligent brand strategy will also mean that less money will need to be spent by us the tax-payer on advertising to entice potential visitors.
